Latter Life Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Latter Life

Latter life

Even in the evening of life
if we remain afraid of the strife
then life loses its charm
it harms our credibility

even if we are not anything
but your value is something
you must try to bring some correctness
and show it visibly on the face

if good people take a lethargic stand
we can understand
their inactiveness to take a bold step
this attitude goes on even in the latter stage

poking is something to meddle
in the private affairs of the people
that is condemned outright
and no one may take it lightly, too

if you think to point out at the right thing
and if we can call this the wrong thing
no one shall by the argument
as we have lost moral courage to point out the truth

latter life or earlier
it speaks of your firm resolve here
if someone cannot dare
then we can only stare at his stand
