Laughter Of Children Poem by Francis Duggan

Laughter Of Children

The sun behind gray clouds is hidden away
For the southern August one might say a typical Winter's day
But nearby to where i stand the sound of joy abound
The laughter of children in the park playground
The laughter of children a beautiful thing
Joy to the ears of the listener does bring
Simple things to them is a source for fun
On an August evening that is lacking in sun
In the children's playground in the park of the town
On the park swings see sawing up and down
As i walk from the park their laughter in me remain
A beautiful moment in memory to retain
The sun it is hidden behind clouds of gray
But the laughter of children brings joy to my day
