Lavender Summer Dress Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Lavender Summer Dress

Rating: 5.0

When I see you
In your lavender summer dress
Along a sun-brilliant and rainless avenue,
It's like a divine revelation
Of an exquisite design.

How many hours and artisanal techniques
Did it require of God to fashion
The loveliness of your eyes?

Can I enter the world
Of your luxurious perfume
And the rarified air of your breath
Or must I linger outside your gate?

This obsession with your essence
Has left me lonely in this city of broken dreams,
But I can no longer find any meaning
That is divorced from your existence.
