Law Of Man Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Law Of Man

Law of Men

For ages
-dogs ate cats
-if ever got, could catch!

Cats ran fast
-climbed the trees, walls
-observed dogs mesmerised,
-angry and went wild
-barked, barked, barked…

When tired, left the dogs
-and the cats either jumped,
-or fetish, climbed down…

The cats' nails were too sharp
-they used them happily
-helped them live safe, smart…

Now the dogs are lost and
-the cats are scared and
-neither has freedom nor goes out!
-Cats shiver when seeing a trunk
-or branch or a bough…

Natural was world until
-gained power the devil,
-man's hellishly changing!

Darcy was one of men
-to draft, sign papers
-with shahs, sheikhs.
-Then after Rockefeller's
-Standard Oil,
-and sisters; "The Seven…"

Oil brought burning hell
-it raised wars, everywhere,
-it dragged, shall do so forever.

Who the hell has been man
-or are you to make laws…?
