My friend, it was just this morning
As I said "hi" to the day
I saw a beautiful sky
It wouldn't stay that way.
So I went inside very quickly
A camera then I found
I snapped this lovely picture
From on the morning ground.
The sky was getting some color
The windmill stood so tall
A slice of fog nestled below
Perfect it was for fall.
I truly found layers of lovely nature
That is what it seemed to me
Once more I am astounded
Of what beauty there is to see!
Beautiful and flowing poem. I love the rhymes, simple and natural. No wonder it is about mother nature. I like the apostrophe in the first stanza..saying hi to the day sounds really interesting. You really did well by capturing the beautiful sky with the camera. That was fantastic. Indeed, layers of nature were present. Beautiful poem. Keep it up!
Marilyn, this poem is layered with many fine images, like a morning song captured with the camera of your eye, developed in the majesty of words!
Excellent poem showcasing the beauty of an early morning scene- with melodious words as well as with a reflex action on camera. So lovely, so delightful. Thank you, Marilyn.

I love our windmill and this is the first thing I see when I look out the office window. The fog adds so much to a scene I feel. Thank you so much for your very special comment.
