POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It is a poem about the best. The best sea has yet to be crossed and the best days have yet to be lived (I agree) . The next word which he is going to say to her will be the best one.
Nazim Hikmet was the first Turkish modern poet. He had to face war in his country, and worked in the USSR for some time, living out his socialist ideals.
