Leaders Of Tomorrow Poem by Ibrahim Farinde

Leaders Of Tomorrow

Rating: 4.0

Things fall apart; The centre cannot hold
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world
The world is in disarray
The government is in factions
The country is politically destabilized
The country's resources is being port to alienated lands
The rule of law is being compromised
Our safety is no longer guaranteed
Mortality rate increases day by day
Press are being brutally abused
The rich oppress the poor
Unemployment becomes our daily exercise
Youths venture into the world of money rituals
They say, they are into networking "wire wire"
They embrace the society as it is
They push the bill of corruption in the house
"chop your own, make I chop my own"
Those are our leaders of today
Which were once told will be the leaders of tomorrow
Still telling the youths of today the same thing
Hmmmn! I'm really confused
Who really are the leaders of tomorrow?
