Leaf Grief Poem by Ima Ryma

Leaf Grief

As inventions that 'save time' go,
The gas powered leaf blower sucks.
Its only function is to blow
While sounding like a storm of trucks.
Landscaping firms feel the most need
To have their workers on the ground
Do the leaves etal. pick up deed,
By first blowing them all around.
The workers probably can't hear
The angry moans and groans nearby.
But, required to turn a deaf ear,
Even workers must wonder why.

I wish inventors soon would make
A silent robot with a rake.
