Learn From A Tree!

Rating: 5.0
When you pluck a flower, the tree remains silent
When you remove a leaf, it reposes to relent

When you climb over, it shields
When you sever a branch, it yields

When you harvest the fruits, it doesn’t demur
When you cut a portion, it doesn’t murmur

When you replant, it don’t quit
When you cut the whole tree, it is quiet

Thank you Dr.Tony. It is a simple fact what I had presented. It is for humanity to learn. I am happy that it had touched you. Nature has many matters to guide us. Look for more, in the times to come.

There is, of course, a great lesson to be learnt here. But, on the other side, we have a duty to protect our trees and our forests, our flora and fauna, our enviroment and fragile eco-system. Thanks a lot, Sir.

I love the quiet personality of your poem, it so tenderly depicts all the things that could happen to a tree, yet it remains silent through it all and submits to everyone who does something to it. We humans cannot submit like the tree for we have free will, intellect and imagination. We adapt according to how we were brought up in life. Wonderful poem, Muthu! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
