I am glad to have met you
I hope we never meet again
I was there at the time you needed me
I will never be your friend
I'm learning that everyone we meet
in life along the way
Is placed in our path
on exactly the right day
They stay only as long as needed
for us to learn lessons or make mistakes
Sometimes they leave you with a smile
or sometimes a tragic heartache
Be thankful for every moment
and each person that you find
Learn to be thankful for the little things
most of us leave behind
Learn to forgive. Never regret
and continue on your way
Remember it was exactly what you wanted
as you move forward to another day.
