Leaving Poem by Will Barber

Leaving

Rating: 5.0

The thought of leaving
Left me, by evening.
'I will stay, ' I said, 'to watch the grass grow.
I will remain. When you hear the cricket,
Know that I hear it also, and endure.'

Spare, poignant verse. You say little to say much. The song of your cricket has touched my autumn soul. Warmest regards, Sandra
