Leaving You Poem by Octavian Cocos

Leaving You

I shall leave, don't ask me why,
Even though my heart will break
I just want to say goodbye
And in peace my path to take.

Do not try to stop me now
I'm not doing something odd,
But I feel I'm pushed somehow
By the fate ordained by God.

Why to bother, to get mad
And to cry with bitter tears?
I know that you think I'm bad
For I'll be away for years.

But until we'll be some day
Old and burdened by the past,
Despite ruin and decay
Our memories will last.

And in other life, my dear,
Who knows, maybe I shall grieve
When you tell me loud and clear
That it is your turn to leave.
