Left In The Ashtray Poem by Vision Ghost

Left In The Ashtray

A partial and nonsensical entourage of thought only thus born of ill fathoming
Breeds fantastic impossibilities until my eyes are sore and anti shuttered
Raising my dry fists to the air and hearing witness to my elbows cracking
Pounding cranial agony in hindsight of last night’s alcohol fuelled chaos uttered

Love of last night searches for her underwear and says very little
Leaving me motionless whilst writing four and a half on the mirror
Acoustic tunes render to the mind to yonder sense of my soul to belittle
She’s leaving forever and my words are a whisper despite the horror

Reach over with my stiffened hand to reconnect the already smoked
Trying to re-establish the simulation of high times of the inconsequential
Long before the waking hour’s wing the cruel realities of the already provoked
It’s all so damn complicated so best stay silent while she remains impartial

Together in the sweated room yet so solitude in existent heartfelt actuality
We both know what we’re both thinking so best stay silent to avoid a riot
This new undeniable frontier is as bright as the pounding upon my boundary
As my tongue, stuck to the roof of my mouth yet my pride I attempt to covet

The drugs of last night are missing somewhere as is my purpose left in the ash tray
Formulating a clear and substantial intelligent thought is harder than opening my eyes
But there is so much to be said though none of it will make sense upon this day
The one and final thing we finally agree upon is there can be nothing left to proselytise

So many actions of body language to scream, shout, stomp and cry it all over us
The availability is outstanding in the most honest comparison to its practicality
The bag your packing seems to take forever though you always were so conspicuous
Yet the only image I see of you is the naked picture I took last week so innocently

But masturbation is far from my mind as the real deal is heading out the door
Gone, shuttered, lost and unforgiving in the compromise of nothing but an ending
Words need no mention upon emotions animosity and social ambiguous laws
We’re all so very far from perfect, but for now, leave it in the ash tray, leave it burning
