Legacy Poem by Clive Culverhouse

Legacy

I don't want to read all the poems
I don't want to churn through them
they've got to last me
I want to re-read them
I want to read them with symmetry
they've got to last me
I would take them to a coffee shop
see if they were cappuccino or Americano
I don't want to embarrass them
or jeopardise their turbulence
your poems
she said
they've got to last me
