Legacy Poem by Rhonda Baker

Legacy

I’d like to share with the world the one thing that I know is true
You’re just perfect at being the one and only you
Not to be a person whose what others see
Not to reflect the image of what they think you should be
Worry is a free item that is worth what it cost
All the time you spend there is going to be forever lost
You are not useless. Your potential is just unknown. So don’t live in despair
The world is made up of gases, waiting for you to ignite the air
When darkness absorbs you and you can’t tell yourself from the night
Remember a single match can help you win that fight
A bonfire does not burn deep within us all
A single candle can give us confidence, letting us stand tall
The world is full of people who will want to bring you down
Never be cruel to yourself, enough of that is all around
Don’t define yourself by your job or even your debt
The truly complete you, is someone you’ve never met
You’re constantly evolving, to who you’ll be in the end
So always add the best to you and legend you will send
