Leopard Spots Poem by Rosi Caswell

Leopard Spots

Leopards never change their spots
Disguise them though they may.
You’ll yet see claws and teeth appear
One fine sunny day.
Then in a whisk, a change appears
As the fireside cat looks out.
We blink our eyes and in a flash
A hunter is about.
So take the warning as it is meant,
Not believing all you see,
For in a trice a change begets
Surprising you and me.
