I am walking around every day.
With less and less devotion
Every emotion is like grief.
With less and less sensation
I am walking around every night.
With less and less belief
Colder than ever before
With a sense of self-awareness
Life has to be lived with forbearance.
Like a wave on the sea
Stretching coast-to-coast
The other side of the world before, finally, breaking free.
I am walking around crying.
Daily and nightly prayers for strength
To survive each great expanse
Each day and night, I don't look into your eyes.
I see a ghost in the lava lamp
In the mirror, I see it's me
But my heart is encamped
To win the war that is all that matters to me.
