Let It Rain Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Let It Rain

Rating: 5.0

Let it rain, let it pour, let it soak the earth,
Let it drum on the roof, let it splash on the street,
Let it wash away the dust, let it quench the thirst,
Let it bring some relief, let it make the air sweet.

Let it rain, let it fall, let it drench the skin,
Let it drip from the hair, let it run down the face,
Let it cleanse the soul, let it rinse the sin,
Let it offer some grace, let it slow down the pace.

Let it rain, let it shower, let it bless the crops,
Let it nourish the seeds, let it green the fields,
Let it fill the wells, let it feed the drops,
Let it yield the fruits, let it reap the yields.

Let it rain, let it storm, let it rage and roar,
Let it thunder and flash, let it strike and crash,
Let it awe and inspire, let it shake the core,
Let it spark and fire, let it make a splash.

Let it rain, let it drizzle, let it mist and haze,
Let it soften the light, let it blur the sight,
Let it create a mood, let it set a phase,
Let it rain day and night, let it rain alright.
