Let Me Be Dead To You Poem by Jamie Ellen Christian

Let Me Be Dead To You

Rating: 5.0

The emptiness of missing you
Rescue me from it or let me disappear
Love me or God please make me not care
Simply pretend you never knew me
Imagine you never broke my heart
over and over again
Now let me be dead to you
Like I never existed
I never breathed
I never spoke and I never cried
I have vanished
To you, I have died
Let me go, Remember my face and voice no more
Take the memory of me away from you
Like the tide takes the sand from the shore
Remember not the love I gave
But bury it all deep in a grave
And there let it all remain
Cold and forgotten
Just the way you have left me so many times

This poem is so touching and honestly the pain in this poem can really be felt. Loved this poem.
