Let Me Drink Your Poison Poem by Arun Maji

Let Me Drink Your Poison

Rating: 5.0

Let ‘my I' be burnt
With that flaming fire in your smile.
Let ‘my existence' be dissolved
Into honey of your sweetness.
Let ‘my fear' disappear
With fragrance of your hair.
Let ‘my greed' be washed away
With flood in your river.

If I can live by dying in your embrace,
Then why should I live
While dying slowly in eternal pain?

If death in your embrace is sweeter than
life without your embrace,
then why don't you pour
that beautiful poison contained in your lips
onto my craving lips?
Let me drink that poison
To depth of my heart
To depth of my soul;
And then die slowly,
sweetly,
silently,
surely.
