Let Me Tell You What I Do Know Poem by Daya Nandan

Let Me Tell You What I Do Know

I don’t know if we are meant to be,
I don’t know if you want to share your life with me,
I don’t know if visions of our future you can see,
I don’t know if you want to be part of my family tree,

I may not know if I shall be aided by god above,
I may not know we can work through this love,
I may not know if I am truly the best for you,
I may not know if your family believes in me too,

I don’t know how I will I turn out,
I don’t know if I am all you think about,
I may not know if you truly want to be my wife,
I may not know if it is with me you truly want to spend a life,

But let me tell u what I do know,
I know I love you more love than I can show,
I know that this love is worth working for,
I know that if we trust and love we will be better off than before,

I know that are the only girl I let this deep into my life,
I know that you are the the only one i want for a wife,
I know that I will respect both your mother and father,
I know that I will love you and bring you a world of joy and laughter,

I know that there is no obstacle I cant pass if with all my heart I try,
I know that even the layers of the ozone cannot stop a man who wants to fly,
I know that if I have the world against me I wont give a damn,
For i will fight my way through hell, for i am confident in who i am.
