Let Me Write Poem by Shogunoka Ledesma III

Let Me Write

Rating: 1.0

Let me write your pain
On the desert sand
So the wind
Would blow them
With a gentle sigh.

Let me write your sorrow
On the dusty earth
So the heavens
Would wash them
With its calming tears.

Let me see your face
On the summer sky
So my hands may cloud
Your eyes like sunset
Of the dying day.

Let me chart my life
Towards your sea of embrace
Like a river
Patiently seeking
Your salty mouth of promise

Let me write my love
On a piece of paper
Crumpled and anguished
Waiting to unfold
To you, my distant female.
