Let The Potter's Wheel Spin Poem by Mark Heathcote

Let The Potter's Wheel Spin

Till I'm 22ct gold, and I'm not coarse clay.
Let the potter's wheel spin.
Till I'm shaped and glazed
Let the potter's wheel spin and shape me.

Till I'm Spode or Blue Bone China
Let the potter's wheel spin.
Till I'm hand-painted
Let the potter's wheel spin and shape me.

Until I'm woven into a basket of porcelain
Let the potter's wheel spin.
Till I'm a transfer that looks something like him
Let the potter's wheel spin and shape me.

Till I'm a feldspar of crystal
Let the potter's wheel spin.
Till I'm gilt with the dawn's light
Let the potter's wheel spin and shape me.

Let the potter's wheel spin and shape me.
Or let me break in the furnace of His heart.
Till I'm a cup that is full and isn't just slip
Let the potter's wheel spin and shape me.
