Let There Bee Peace Poem by Clive Blake

Let There Bee Peace

Let there bee love,
Let there bee unity,
Let there bee peace,
We will be resolute,
We will be strong,
Till hostilities cease.

Freedom cannot possibly be wrong,
Terrorism cannot possibly be right,
No matter how long the struggle,
It is us - who will win this fight.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Image based on the
Manchester Worker Bee Symbol.

This is in response to the terrorist attacks
on the UK, in early 2017.

I feel that we all need to do our bit to combat evil.

Clive, I like your bee symbol. If you really want to engage the reader's sympathies, though, you need to show (use vivid images and figures of speech) , not just tell (use abstractions like love, ' unity, peace.) If you'd like, check out my new website: jeffersoncarterverse.com Let me know how you like it. Yrs, JC
