Let Us Not Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Let Us Not

"I love my country" I heard a song
I felt nothing wrong
Each citizen of country must feel proud
An openly say it very loud

Same way it is about faith
One must stick up to death
Even with each fresh breath
To feel proud and worth

Yes be proud of your race
Wherever it is needed to present the case
But remember only one thing
Do not try to prove others inferior and bring bitterness

Here only we go wrong in calculation
It has purely individual relation
Country to country I must be on equal footing
No reaction should be over shooting

Let us not interfere with internal affairs
That is not at all fair
Never comment on race and culture
That is not good for golden future
