Let X = X Poem by moon batchelder

Let X = X

if the wages of sin are death
and death is the 'way of all flesh',
the threshhold at each life-span's end
does that mean that life equals death?

let x = x and not y.
next you'd have me think, since birds die
they've sinned too, and babies or trees!
for they succomb, even as we.

that all things must die it is clear.
no reason for judgement or fear.
let x = x. life is breath,
the lapsing of which = death.

Very original! It even appeals to my nerdy logical side along with the usual poetic one. One note- I think you mean 'die' in the last stanza.
