Let's Dance Poem by Randy McClave

Let's Dance

I hoped for her to give me a glance
Then hopefully give me a chance,
Then take my hand and dance
And then let us have a great romance.

I could not keep my eyes off of her
When I saw her my blood began to stir,
On the back of my neck I could feel the raised fur
Remembering where we were.

Then towards me she did stroll
So, happy was my soul,
I finally achieved my very goal
When she grabbed my hand and said, "let's rock n' roll".

Our eyes did finally meet
Then she looked at my arms and then my feet,
And then finally we did greet
She then took my hand and I felt complete.

While we were moving on the dance floor
I will always remember what she wore,
The dance I know I will always adore
And I hope later holding hands we will head out the door.
