Letter To Santa Poem by Valerie Dohren

Letter To Santa

Letter To Santa

If I send a letter to Santa
Will he bring you back to me
Will he sprinkle you with stardust
And leave you under the tree

If I ask him so very nicely
Will he listen to my call
Then post you through my letterbox
So I'd find you in my hall

Would he kiss me while I am sleeping
Pretending that he is you
If I send a letter to Santa
Maybe that's what he could do

But I know that Santa is busy
Sorting all the children's' toys
Such a lot of things to organise
For so many girls and boys

So I won't send Santa a letter
I'll just think of you instead
Then dream of when you held me close
And tenderly kissed my head
