Letter To The World Bank: Don't Lend A Cent To The Banana Republic

Oh world bank...
Listen to our plea,
Don't lend a cent to the banana republic,
Let us explain to thee
Their leaders are corrupted, full of greed.

They don't care for their people's needs
They'll take the loan, but where will it go?
Into their pockets, where they'll let it flow
The citizens suffer, living in poverty
And lack not in a few but in all.

While their leaders live in luxury
The borrowed money, will only add to their debt
Leaving the people with nothing but regret
Infrastructure crumbling and education is scarce
Yet their leaders live like kings, without a care.

Corruption runs deep, from top to bottom
Don't you see, lending to them is a futile option
It'll only worsen the already dire situation
And leave their people in utter desperation.

Oh world bank, please reconsider your decision
For the sake of the people, don't add to their oppression
Invest in a nation that truly needs your aid
Not in the banana republic,
Where corruption is deeply ingrained.

So we beg of you,
Don't lend a cent to the banana republic
For their leaders will only misuse it, without any lament.
