Levy The Deal Poem by Tanec Rayl

Levy The Deal

speaking as someone who once made a foolish decision
that has overshadowed my domestic achievements
you have my unqualified pity. it has become so fashionable
to have an opinion about everything that this relegation
can only appear a contempt of the people and a denial of democracy
therefore there will be a written warning
(I thought we had a speed limit)
but it will never show up in the iconography
nor will it impact upon the faith of your believers
we will instead try using logic:
there's no reason why we should abdicate our foundational principles
there's no reason why we should be anything other than a community of friends
yes, time will pass, but the souls of the dead are immortal and
genius and magic may be contained in their boldness
simply put, boss: don't let the victors write your history
