Li Yi: A Merchant At The Qutang Gorge I Wed 李益 嫁得瞿塘賈 朝朝誤妾期 早知潮有信 嫁與弄潮兒

A merchant at the Qutang Gorge I wed;
He failed to come back in time, time and again.
Had I known the punctuality of the Yangtze floods then,
I would have married a boatman instead.
