Freedom; liberation of mind
Our perceptions of people and world
Often adulterated or skewed,
So we see things in our own way.
Upbringing, Beliefs and values
Assumptions and stereotypes
Emotional and intellectual biases
Cloud our subjective minds
If pause, reflect and evaluate
The way our minds operate
And think who we really are
Insight is not that far
We can change the way we see
Insight is the turning key
Eliminating ignorance and delusion
Ruminating impermanence and illusion
Mindfulness bring liberation
That is the freedom for celebration.
we see things in our own way. Upbringing, Beliefs and values Assumptions and stereotypes Emotional and intellectual biases Cloud our subjective minds- - you are expressing in simple lines such a great truth. very often we carry it all along our lives unable to change and come out of it........... very nice poem. it is revealing. tony

Indeed, true freedom comes with liberation of the mind. An insightful piece of poetry elegantly embellished with poetic rhyme and rhythm. A work of art. Thanks for sharing Janaki and do remain enriched.
