Liberty Poem by Jodie Bawden

Liberty

Rating: 4.9

I am bound captive.
His eyes glow with dominance, stripping my soul bare and leaving
but the brittle bones of my being.
It seems I revel in the vulnerability, wishing, wanting him to take me.
To care.
It feels as if he has reached in, without a key, yet managed to unlock the way to my heart.
Entwining my soul with his, he leads the way
and as one we dance to the thrum of the Earth beneath our feet.
I feel liberated; the wind embraces us and with the power of nature, it lifts us up to high heaven.
If love really does bind me ever so captive, and my heart does cry out from all this pain - why do I feel so...
Free.

It seems I revel in the vulnerability, wishing, wanting him to take me. To care. He has unlocked the way to my heart........ Entwining my soul with his beautiful expressions of love indeed...... love is a mystery. do not forget it....... it is always a mystery and it should remain a mystery. otherwise love is not love. tony

An insightful depiction of love as a voyage of bliss - a spiritual experience that affects one profoundly, well articulated and nicely penned from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Jodie.
