Licensor Cuts Ties With Licensee Poem by Denis Mair

Licensor Cuts Ties With Licensee

Licensor developed a classical education curriculum
Licensor then licensed that curriculum to Licensee.
Using that curriculum, Licensee showed pictures to children
Such as Michelangelo's DAVID and Boticelli's BIRTH OF VENUS;
Later, parents accused Licensee of exposing kids to porn;
Licensor then revoked Licensee's license to use the curriculum;
I.e., the license to Licensee was revoked by Licensor,
Because 'the drama around teaching the DAVID sculpture…
Has become a distraction from, and a parody of
The actual aims of classical education.'
Of course Licensor still keeps those works in its curriculum.
As I read this, the ground of legal certainty I walk on is quaking:
This is like a scene in HITCHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY;
Constants defining the properties of space and matter are sliding;
The air is quivering like jello; normal colors turn garish;
Space under torsion pulls your body into funhouse shapes;
This is a cosmic string cheese incident in the field of education.
