Lies Poem by Susheela Alexiose

Lies

Every time you tell me a lie,
You have no idea how much you
belittle yourself in my presence.

Every time you feed me a lie,
You have no idea how much of a barrier
you build between you and me.

Every time you throw me a lie,
You assume you can make me feel stupid
It annoys so severely!
But I've learned to ignore
all of your deceits
'cause you know how much
I despise lying and cherish the truth
no matter how painful it may be!
