Life Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Life

Life

Life, my dear life
My only mother,
From a womb, i came from
from a treasure i cannot let go,

my love affair with the sun,
Like a body i cherished with the wind,
To race to the top of the hillsin breathless embrace,

Hapless withadorations and wonder,
A covenant, l sign with the stars
And a night compact with the moon

An affinity with no separation,
No terminations and end of contract,

How would it ever be preserve
In the face of time.?

When a lonely God with no conpassion, no scrupples,
Immune to prayers,
Deaf to language,

Arrainged otherwise, an unfair verdict,

How can dusts be our fate, ?
If i will forget the memories of the stars,

My face,
On the crystalwaters.
