Life After Life Poem by Paul Sebastian

Life After Life

When one leaves this mortal coil
Close ones feeling the loss, moan
Bereft suffer the sudden painful void
When someone had been the dawn

Sir Death, you thought you had stung
Deceiving yourself the short-lived victory
Men go to hell, by your deceit and wrong
You come to steal, kill and destroy

Those who live in love, hope and faith
Will live in paradise, by a wink of an eye
The Lord's resurrection, conquered death
He died so that we live an eternal life

Mortal life on earth is too brief
We are here, then, we are gone
We choose how we want to live
Choose a destiny before the set of sun
