Life - Ante Up Before God - Poem by Paul Warren
When you are at your life's end
And you are standing before your God not to pretend
All the good that you do in your life
Should be weighed against what was your strife
It would seem that no matter how it adds up
Surely that's how it works when you ante up
So how can killing and maiming people that way
Mean you will get to Heaven with good things no delay.

Poet's Notes about The Poem
Surely in any weighing up when you reach the end of your time on earth the good you do should outweigh any time you have strayed into the bad.
