Life As A Muse
When life unfolds with an intensity
the poet cannot resist,
in the soul a fixity of passions
yearning for expressed bliss-
or meeting one's Waterloo
and the mood descends into rhapsodic blue-
It's then the poet writes
of beauty or pain unbound;
articulates all in sight
in prose glowing and overflowing
like a fount unslowing...
