Life Death Indelible Defining Differences Poem by Terence George Craddock

Life Death Indelible Defining Differences

we all age wither die
then we are dead
what time tide marks
defining differences
in lost lives lived
upon what principles
heartache dreams desires
emotions ethics morality

was expired life lived
did we heartbeat stand
for time lived anything
compassion kindness forgiveness
hate deception greed injustice
was life aspirations money king?

we all death embrace die
the time eternal differences
are present or lacking morals
ethics values we life affirm
or reject in our conflicted lives
our purified essential humanity
can best be time sealed judged
by what we lift finger do for those

who can do nothing for us
we can choose to faith believe
in support those in hardship need
with love compassion kindness
or indifference ignore or exploit
their experienced pain suffering misery

the scale of our hands gifted support
or absolute face turned indifference differs
time spent heartbeats esoteric values define us
I have deep thought for many decades
now home heart returned to loved the lines
'God bless those who fear to speak,
for the fallen and the weak.
God bless those who fear to be,
in the right with two or three.'

because sincerity a change of heart
from a cruel or an indifferent heart
to a kind loving regeneration nurturing heart
is a birth beautiful life changing heart
a heart which can enrich bless many lives
