Life Hymn: Life Tenets Poem by Adesegun Adejugbe

Life Hymn: Life Tenets

Better live the best life,
To have best reward in life;
Better live not as one like to live,
But as one ought to live.

Better live as a humble man,
Than to live as a proud man;
Better live like an innocent lass,
Than to live like nocent lad

Better live to please God,
Than to live to please all;
Better live a free minded life,
Than to live a disconsolate life.

Better live a fulfilled life,
Than to live a futile life;
Better speak well of everyone,
Than to speak ill of anyone.

Better live a courageous life,
Than to live a fearful life;
Better be the best in one thing,
Than to be the worst in many things.

Better live to love everyone,
Than to live to hate anyone;
Better give compliment to everyone,
Than to flatter anyone.

Better live a life one forgive everyone,
Than to live a life one forgive no one;
Better live a benevolent life,
Than to live a malevolent life.

Better live a progressive life,
Than to live a stagnant life;
Better live and enjoy today,
Than to worry of tomorrow today.

Better live humane life
Than to live an inhumane life;
Better enjoy interval of birth & death,
Than to be doleful of mystery of death.

Better live a simple life,
Than to live a complicated life;
Better live the best of life,
By doing all things with love in life.
