* Life Is A Battlefield Poem by Inner Whispers

* Life Is A Battlefield

Rating: 2.6

Treacherous strategic engagements lay upon her feet
A call of duty that put her into chances of harm and risky encounters,
As she battles, she relies with her instinct and the current of air
To grasp in the howling depths of her will to survive and to live.

Roses and sugar-coated words been heard from devil’s lips
An irresistible temptation of power and wealth,
Dragged her into an unending path of unpredictable greediness
Which made her nose to bleed and choked her breath, put her nearly into grave.

Greediness of the juice of her mission’s accomplishments
Done and successfully gained,
Yet her ways protecting her benefits gave her a restless soul
That hunts her every sleep, seeing dark blood flow on her hands!

She’s back in the human edge where she belongs
Now, she can laugh at every greetings and honor she received,
Yet in the stillness of each night, she sits alone, staring at the coldness of the moon dim light,
Asking herself, “What now, where will your life lay…?
Where again will the call of the battlefield brings you, howling creature,
Who always seek colors of the sun’s coming in every dawn? ”
