Life Is A Joke Poem by Ivan Chizurum Ezeigbo

Life Is A Joke

Painting walls and billard balls
Desire to help man and desire to acquire more
A legal eagle could take life as dolls
Or a begger, anything else hell as life could ask for

My achievements, dreams, goals have strains
Through sunshine, turmoil and rains
And like anticipated profit, we are thankful for our brains
In reverse, human conditions, on us drains

Yes, life is a joke
And no one needs be told
That as serious as it has been, it mirrors folk
And everything in life to cry for are sold

That though many rivers and tunnels we pass through in life
Situations and ill fates turn to comedy
That nothing is indeed gotten as precise as the pointed knife
Yet, we learn to dance to the steps of life's melody

Indeed, life is a joke!
