Life Is A Rainbow Sky Poem by Arun Maji

Life is a rainbow sky
Only, if you want to fly.

Sky is there, wings are there.
But do you wish to fly?

For each wish you have,
you must pay few drops of blood.
For each need you have
you must starve yourself few days.
For each dream you have
you must suffer few sleepless nights.


Everything has a price, to pay.
Harder they are,
most beautiful, most precious they are.

Climbing atop Everest is tough,
but, view from it also magnificent.
Before you kiss a rose
you must bleed from thorns.
Before you reach diamond
you must endure pain of digging.
Before you embrace your baby
you must twist in birth pain.

Life is truly a rainbow sky,
and we all have wings.
Yet, only few dares to fly.

Courage is the canvas
where you paint your life.
You may be Vinci or Picasso,
but, if you do not have canvas,
you are as good as nobody.
You may be gifted with all virtue
but, if you do not have courage,
you are as good as nobody.

Dream without courage
stays elusive as dream.
But with courage-
you make your real life
a dazzling dream.
