Life Is But A Dream Poem by soren Barrett

Life Is But A Dream

Life is but a dream a vision of ghosts
mind's dust and smoke from inner fires
with fuel of fears and hopes it coasts
navigating mist's hosts of desires

Ember of dawn glows in the hearth of day
Newly kindled flames of past lives
Black phantoms melt into a shadow's ballet
Without time's chains freedom survives

Memory drips through holes in a dream
drops falling in a directionless bend
to alite again in a new stream
an ocean of new dreams to extend
