Life Is God's Gift To Us Poem by Mohammad Younus

Life Is God's Gift To Us

Life is God's gift to us,
Yet foolishly, we mishandle trust.
We fail to see as it turns round,
And raise it slowly to the ground.

Divine beauty within us fades,
Illusions rise, demanding praise.
Wars within, they swell and rise,
Humanity within, it dies.

Blood flows freely through the land,
Souls impoverished, unable to stand.
Egos push us to rebel,
Evil devours the seeds of well.

Bombs explode in the heart's revolt,
Hope shatters, and fear takes hold.
The divine edifice crumbles down,
Peace and love are nowhere to be found.

Sanctity of God's House destroyed,
Terror spreads, cunning minds employed.
We are pawns in a game unknown,
No safe place, nowhere to call home.

Two faces we wear, duality's snare,
Minds make choices beyond repair.

God's gift now rests in evil hands,
Peace no longer in hearts or lands.
In mankind's grip, His trust is gone—
Can you restore it before all is undone?

Repose us again, O Lord, we pray,
The gift you gave us, show us the way.
