Life - Long Memories Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Life - Long Memories

Mind playing in recesses of hidden talent coming to the surface
with melodies jarring them out of spaces of safety, tossing a-
side after-effects of living in misery.

Wanting only to have some pleasure and joy in moments of this
earthly life, jostling in and out of notes and rhythms, loving
how they twist and turn ideas and thoughts so gently.

Insistently having a great time being had in expressions and
gestures of life-long memories put to music keeping them alive
and remembered far into the future.

Even after the ones who've held them for so long have passed
from this earth, genuine and full of the wonder that curiosity
renders within many individuals incessantly through the years.
