Life On The Edge Poem by Long Tooth

Life On The Edge

Rating: 5.0

Every man's a pioneer; life's always on the edge
Of non-life, of experience, of pain, what we hold dear.
Each moment stares with jealous eyes at plans we have in mind,
(Though sometimes joy can tickle us and leave all pain behind.)
Emotions are God-given, though they carry seeds of fear,
The life we lead's a curving path, you're in, and there's no hedge!

Destiny's a joke I think if Grace from God is real,
But Grace too has an edge to it! Though it depends on faith,
Still blesses life if God is dead, and if its truth is wrong,
(If Grace is just pure fantasy, commitment makes you strong!)
If God's its source or just your choice, Grace flavors each new breath,
A gift that lasts, it will not rust (what God gives who can steal?)
