Life's Idiot Poem by Shaun Cronick

Life's Idiot

Rating: 5.0

I stood on a cold bridge at midnight,
When a thought came in my head.
What a fool I was to be there,
When I might be home in bed.

I saw my shoelace was left undone,
Ignored it and went to the railing side.
When I tripped and fell over,
Now I'm going out with the morning tide.

Now I'm wet and cold,
My head is beginning to dim.
What a idiot I am indeed,
For never learning to swim.
