Life's Mirror Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Life's Mirror

Smiles on surface faces as we stare into life's mirror
Turn it around underneath feeling blue the despair is clearer

Positive and strong standing tall full of vigour
Peek around the back see the frailty, holding onto desperation's trigger

Immaculate appearance perfections of beauty staring back
The other side body dirty shabby in a misshaped vision well off track

Tricky of sight life's mirror the projection of our souls
Front the image we want the world to see and reverse the image of who we really are

Are we just two sided trapped in a prison of glass the irony of life's mirror
Blinded by the vision that is good and hiding away from reflection of reality that waits for us on the other side

Which of life's mirrors will you let others see the lighter or the dark side?
Which person will get to see you for you comfortable able to confide?

Let's break the glass have faith step through no more hiding behind the fake you
Reaching out for support lift the false image of life's mirror just be you, just be true.
